Allen Iverson is one of the most prolific scorers the game of basketball has ever seen and also one of the most iconic personalities of the NBA. Standing at just 6 feet tall (which is considered relatively short for an NBA player), Iverson had the heart and soul of a 7 footer. There was some questionable decisions he made in his life, but his heart and passion for the game was something that was never in question.
SHOWTIME has created a documentary titled “IVERSON” that will be premiering next month, May 16th. Known as “The Answer”, Allen Iverson paved the way for many of the young players of today as he became one of the biggest faces of the NBA after Michael Jordan retired. Take a look at the trailer for “IVERSON” that takes a look at A.I.’s career both on and off the court.
For those of you who remember watching Iverson play, what’s your favorite memory of the superstar? My most memorable moment was game 1 of the 2001 NBA Finals where he had 48 points against the Lakers and hit Tyronn Lue with that pull back jumper and then stepped over him adding insult to injury. All while wearing the Reebok Answer 4. #Classic
