Nike Challenges Reebok with a Sneaker Designed for CrossFit
The model, which is set to release in Feb. 2015, doesn't make any direct callouts toCrossFit, which makes sense given how notoriously protective that fitness company is of their trademarked workout regimen. The trainer is described as appropriate for lifting, jumping, climbing, and running, and there's even a PE type pair for the InvictusCrossFit program. The Metcon model name is short for "metabolic conditioning", and seems to be Nike's way of referencing the CrossFit craze without directly referring to it. The Nike Metcon trainer is available for preorder now from Road Runner Sports.
