Snitching or justice?
Every single exclusive release you have select members of the sneaker community fighting to be the man with the best connections. Usually you’ll see a connect referred to as the “plug” for those who aren’t hip to internet lingo. If Fragment design putting their touch on the Air Jordan 1 wasn’t enough for people to go crazy, Nike made this release extremely limited. As you can see by the “funniest tweets in @NikeLab’s mentions” it was hard enough just getting one pair.
Pictured above is someone bragging on Facebook about being at his plug’s house with over 8 pairs of Fragment x Air Jordan 1s. A sneakerhead by the name of Mateo Lorente wasn’t pleased with the FB flex post and immediately sought out to contact Nike. He reported a shop who he believed the photo came from with the allegations that they are selling pairs of the Fragment 1s through the back door and not allowing the public to have a fair opportunity to purchase. Can you blame him?
We purposely blanked out the retailers name from the image because there isn’t any concrete evidence to prove Mateo’s allegations. However, Nike takes these reports serious and an investigation might be come their way soon. The moral of this story is: STOP POSTING ABOUT YOUR PLUG!
